🔥 Victory at District 57 Spring Conference! 🔥
Woohoo! Our superstar Dave Blum brought home the silver at this year's District 57 Spring Conference at California Maritime Academy in Vallejo! Club 182 showed up in force to cheer him on! Way to go, Dave! We're so proud! đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź
Full House!
Need another chair? And another? Our club meeting was packed to the rafters!
First-timers mingled with returning guests in a lively session. Newcomers to public speaking found a safe, supportive environment to test their skills. Every guest got an opportunity to tackle Table Topics with Dave's Wheel of Topics, making for a fun, well-paced two-hour program.
Club 182 Hosted District 57 International Speech & Evaluation Contests
March 3rd
Santa Rosa Club 182 proudly hosted the District 57 International Speech & Evaluation Contests on March 3rd, featuring participants from Areas C10 & C31. Club member Dave Blum emerged victorious in his category, while evaluators got to test their craft working from Steve Taddei's test speech "Golden Age of Self-Expression" for the evaluation contest. The event featured outstanding presentations and reflected the encouraging atmosphere that makes Toastmasters valuable to its members.

International Speech Contest Winner!
Mock Contest
Club 182 kicked off 2025 with a Mock Contest, giving members a front-row seat to competitive speaking. Six members stepped onto the stage, and our guest Target Speaker, Dianna, gave three members their first chance to try their hand at evaluations.
Thanks to our Contest Committee: Mary Ellen, Eric, and Donica for putting it all together.

VP Membership, Christina, presented our club with the “PRESIDENT’S DISTINGUISHED” ribbon for 2022-2023. We achieved 9 of the 10 Distinguished Club Program goals encompassing education, member recruitment and leadership.

Area Contest Target Speaker!
President, Tim, was Target Speaker at the C10 & C31 Evaluation contests on March 6. Tim had the advantage of 6 contestant evaluations. Several 182 members participated including Sheridith as C31 co-Chair and Will as Tech Host.

Distinguished Toastmaster
CONGRATULATIONS to Dave on achieving his Distinguished Toastmaster award (DTM) - the highest award Toastmasters International bestows recognizing superior level of achievement. Less than one percent of all Toastmasters ever achieve this designation.
